"Naga Rani" is a term used in Indian and Buddhist mythology. It translates to "queen of snakes" in English. In Hindu mythology, a Naga Rani is a powerful female serpent deity, often associated with fertility and prosperity. In Buddhism, Nagarani are serpent goddesses who are believed to have the power to grant wishes and protect devotees from harm. They are also associated with the protection of the Dharma and are depicted as fierce protectors of the Buddhist teachings.
At Naga Rani we have three main purposes which are rooted deep into the culture.
1. Heal People
Thai massage is a unique and ancient form of bodywork that has many benefits for both the body and the mind. Thai massage combines acupressure, energy work, and yoga-like stretches to help relieve tension and improve flexibility. It is based on the concept of energy lines or "sen," and works to balance and restore the flow of energy throughout the body.
We are honoured to be able to share this ancient healing practice with our customers and also teach students.
2. Empower Women
There is increasing recognition of the importance of gender equality and more efforts are being made to promote women's rights and opportunities. However, there is still work to be done to achieve full gender parity and eliminate discrimination against women in all areas of society.
3. Be Charitable
We offer free massages on selected days to pregnant women, elderly (65+) and special needs people. Naga Rani believes in the power of giving. Some of our proceeds goes towards the functioning of Buddhist Monasteries all across the world.
